Cross-Engine Awareness Layer
A shared observational layer that links live alerts across every LOOQOE kinetic engine — grouping simultaneous signals into explainable possible incidents so operators see the whole picture, not just isolated alarms.
Before
Each engine monitors its own domain and raises alerts independently. During a cross-domain event, an operator sees a wall of separate alarms with no indication they are connected.
With Cascade Correlation
The same alerts are grouped into a short list of possible incidents, each with the exact criteria and contributing readings that linked them — so the operator understands the situation, not just the noise.
Correlation Criteria
Readings from different engines that occur within a narrow time window are candidates for the same unfolding event.
Alerts flagged in the same regional or network sector across engines are linked, since cross-domain cascades often share a geographic footprint.
Elevated or rapid-response directives that co-occur are grouped, because simultaneous critical signatures across domains signal a systemic event rather than isolated anomalies.
Design Principles
Cascade Correlation never issues directives, never takes control, and never overrides an engine's human-in-the-loop approval mode. It observes and explains only.
Every incident is built from checkable rules — no machine learning inference, no probabilistic guessing. The exact criteria that linked a group are shown alongside it.
Each grouped incident lists the exact readings, engines, timestamps, and correlation criteria that formed it, so an operator can audit why alerts were linked.
Cascade Correlation is active in the National Kinetic Command dashboard, where the unified alert feed, cascade incident list, and dependency map are available to authorized institutional stakeholders.
