Explain Like I'm 5
MECTRIK reads the price movement of a stock or crypto asset and tells you whether to BUY, HOLD, or SELL. You give it the current price and the previous price, and it figures out whether the move is a buying opportunity, a warning sign, or a sell signal — then gives you the exact entry price, target, and stop loss.
Technical
MECTRIK is a proprietary quantitative execution index engine. It ingests live market data — closing price, previous close, and historical volatility — and outputs an absolute execution directive: BUY (capital accumulation), HOLD (risk mitigation), or SELL (capital liquidation). The engine reads the downside velocity, computes the execution index, and issues precision price directives with ATR-based stop losses and systemic risk dampening. It works on both traditional equities (SPY-based dampener) and 24/7 crypto assets (BTC-based dampener).
The engine accepts two ways to submit market data:
Enter the ticker symbol, current close price, and previous close price manually. The engine computes the downside velocity from these two numbers. Works for both equities (AAPL) and crypto pairs (BTC-USD).
Paste a Yahoo Finance table, CSV, or headline. The engine parses the data — including Date, Close, Volume, Open, High, Low — and extracts the price and drop percentage automatically.
After you submit market data, the engine returns a structured result. Here's what each part means:
BUY
Capital Accumulation
Green. The downside velocity has created a capital accumulation opportunity. Buy at or below the entry price with the recommended position size.
HOLD
Risk Mitigation
Yellow. The asset is consolidating — the volatility floor was triggered. No entry or exit. Hold existing positions and wait for a clearer signal.
SELL
Capital Liquidation
Red. The downside velocity has crossed the critical threshold. Liquidate at or above the entry price to preserve capital before further downside.
When the directive is BUY or SELL, the engine issues three price levels plus position sizing:
Market Volatility Dampener
The engine reads the broader market to assess systemic risk. For equities it reads the SPY (S&P 500 ETF) daily move; for crypto it reads BTC-USD. When the market proxy is volatile, it dampens your position size — regardless of the individual asset's EI score. This prevents you from deploying full size into a turbulent market.

Standard markets close. Global liquidity doesn't.
MECTRIK ingests both traditional equities and 24/7 tokenized assets through the same physics-based kinetic kernel. The same deviation, mass, and execution-index math applies to both — so downside velocity and structural trajectory are measured consistently, whether the tape is running on NYSE or a rolling tokenized window. You never miss a kinetic shift, even outside traditional exchange hours.
Traditional Mode
Daily-close directive on standard equities. SPY-based systemic dampener.
Tokenized · 24/7
Rolling-window directive on always-on assets. BTC-based systemic dampener.
MECTRIK runs two scheduled momentum scanners that sweep a curated universe and surface buy-momentum candidates automatically — you don't have to enter symbols one at a time.
Sweeps a curated universe of top crypto pairs (BTC, ETH, SOL, and more) on a scheduled interval. Each hit that receives a BUY directive with a non-zero position size is posted to your feed as a summary card, ranked by position size and Execution Index. The universe is admin-managed so it stays current without code changes.
Sweeps a curated universe of large-cap liquid US equities on a scheduled interval. Same ranked summary-card treatment as the crypto scanner. The universe is admin-managed so the curated list stays current.
The simulation portfolio lets you paper-trade MECTRIK directives without risking real capital. Every BUY directive the engine issues (automated or manual) opens a simulated position; every SELL directive or stop-loss hit closes one. You see the full lifecycle — entry, unrealized P&L, and realized P&L — as if you had executed each directive.
Auto-Deploy
BUY directives open simulated positions automatically
Live P&L
Unrealized and realized P&L tracked per position
Auto-Close
SELL directives and stop-loss hits close positions
The simulation is a learning and validation tool. The portfolio summary shows your total deployed capital, open positions, realized gains, and overall return — so you can judge the engine's edge before committing real money.
You can set deploy-cash alerts on any symbol. When MECTRIK issues a BUY directive with a non-zero position size, you receive an email notification — so you never miss a deploy signal, even when you're away from the dashboard.
Human-in-the-loop safety controls
MECTRIK has two safety controls that govern whether directives are auto-executed or treated as recommendations. These are admin-managed and apply across the engine.
Approval Mode
Autonomous — the engine auto-executes sell directives and liquidates simulated positions. Manual — the engine generates analysis and directives but does NOT liquidate; directives are recommendations awaiting human review.
Circuit Breaker
A temporary emergency stop. When active, the engine is forced into manual mode regardless of the approval setting — no sell directives are executed. It expires automatically at the set datetime. Posts generated while the breaker is active are flagged as manually overridden.
Build a custom list of ticker or crypto symbols. Run the engine on demand — MECTRIK fetches live market data, computes the execution index, and posts directives to your feed. Each run is timestamped and shareable.
The engine runs automatically after market close every weekday. Daily bulletins appear in your feed alongside your personal watchlist runs and scanner hits — ready for your daily routine.
You can ask the MECTRIK AI assistant anything about directives, terms, or position sizing — in plain English. The assistant has access to your execution feed and can explain any directive in context. A pulsing badge on the chat icon shows the count of alert emails sent since you last opened the chat.
When using MECTRIK in your daily routine, follow this sequence:
Check the Daily Feed
After market close, review the automated daily bulletins, scanner hits, and any watchlist runs. The engine has already run on its tracked symbols and posted directives to your feed.
Review Scanner Hits
Scan the crypto and stock scanner summary cards for buy-momentum candidates. The strongest deploy signals are ranked at the top by position size and EI.
Read the Directive
Check the colored bar: green = buy, yellow = hold, red = sell. The directive is absolute — the engine doesn't hedge.
Check the Price Levels
If the directive is BUY or SELL, review the entry price, target price, and stop loss. These are your precise action points — not vague guidance.
Verify Position Size
Check the position size percentage and ATR multiplier. Confirm the systemic risk dampener hasn't trimmed your size due to market volatility (SPY for equities, BTC for crypto).
Set Deploy Alerts
For symbols you want to track passively, set a deploy-cash alert with your preferred min position size. You'll get an email — and a desktop push notification if installed — the moment a deploy signal fires.
Watch the Simulation
Let the simulation portfolio auto-deploy directives and track the P&L. Use it to validate the engine's edge before committing real capital.
Ask MECTRIK AI
If anything in the directive is unclear, ask the MECTRIK AI assistant. It can explain the execution index, price levels, or position sizing in plain English.
Execute and Monitor
Place your order at the entry price. Set your stop loss. Monitor the position — the engine runs daily and will issue a SELL directive if the thesis changes.
